Barking might have sparked slayings: Police
Mon Oct 28, 2013
Labs tend be barkers. Mine is/was but we've more or less trained him to bark only when people come to our house (meaning on our property) and then stop after no more than 20-30 seconds. He does this only when unexpected people come, I think, because he no longer barks when the mailman comes. It coul …
Sheriff: Oregon boy, 14, killed 2 men on hunting trip
Thu Oct 3, 2013
Matter of fact, I have a VERY important job that you would have no idea how to do. That cracks me up, Burns. Aren't you the one who said a little earlier, "Because here's a reality check for everyone: you don't know me." So let me get this straight... you know all about everyone here but everyone he …
NY high school football team calls it quits after teammate's death
Fri Sep 27, 2013
I would grant that HS sports serves at some level as a measure to possibly keep at risk teens in school and perhaps out of trouble, but for most its nothing more than a temporary reprieve. You got that right. Just look at Aaron Hernandez. Football never took the punk out of him.
Los Angeles schools halt off-campus iPad use after students hack tablets
Thu Sep 26, 2013
...and it would never occur to us to limit their use or internet access when off campus...why would we...that's a parenting issue... I agree. Why should they have to switch to another device to update their Facebook status or tweet something (which they're bound to do)? iPads are virtually virus pro …

My husband and I each have life insurance that will help the other pay off all the bills that the other would be left to deal with alone should one of us buy the farm. We are both insured for the same amount since we both earn roughly the same amount. Because of our age, if either one of us tried to …
'You better not touch my kid again': Kansas City parent pummels grade-school teacher
Sun Sep 8, 2013
Funny, I immediately pictured a white woman beating up on white teacher. Why? Probably because I'm white. I know a whole ton of crazy, off-the-spool white women who'd rival the wrath of a black woman any day of the week.
Ariel Castro's death is 'last slap' to victims' faces, psychologist says
Wed Sep 4, 2013
I agree with Judy and I don't think she was insulting at all. In fact, why does she get called out for being insulting when most of you are calling the psychologist an idiot among other things? The only logical way to think here is that if Judy (or I, for that matter) agree with the psychologist and …
'It's not a BlackBerry, but it's helping me for now': Cellphones are now essentials for the poor

Last I knew, you can't buy anything but a flat screen tv nowadays. JayEll... I vote yours as the best post of the day. And I couldn't agree more. :)
